Fabric Tuesday #4
This weeks Fabric Tuesday is back focusing on patterns from Moda. With Spring just around the corner, this weeks collections are ideal.
Sandy Gervais has been a designer for Moda for over 20 years. Sandy was originally discovered at her first ever International Quilt Market in St Louis in 1994 by Moda and has been one of their designers ever since. Refresh is inspired by nature, painted by the sunshine, green grass, fog and mist, this collection will make you reminisce about spring no matter what time of year it is!
Kathy is a designer from Portland, Oregon who has designed for Moda for over 10 years. With a background in graphic design and painting, Kathy’s style of inspiration goes back to when she was looking to hang something over her mantle. She painted a picture of her house and her love for that specific type of artwork began.
Patchwork is a collection inspired by the first days of spring, seed packs, quotes and flowers. With a love for vintage handwriting Kathy writes with the pen and ink to get that vintage feel.
Brenda, another Moda designer, began her career working within the architecture, design and teaching fields until she decided to follow her dreams and begin her own ‘Acorn Gift and Quilt Company.’ The Windereme collection of fabric is inspired by the english countryside, specifically Windereme the largest lake in the English Lake District. The colours reflect the hue will will see as you walk beside the lake, colours of the outdoors with a softened, fresh and aged look.
